Description	:	Mary Ann Tischer was born on April 13, 1931 on a farm in Sac County, the daughter of Vincent and Lucile (Luft) Determann. She was raised in Sac County, and graduated from Odebolt High School in 1948. She had eight brothers and a sister. On June 2, 1948 she married Donald E. Tischer in Wall Lake, and lived on the Tischer family farm just outside of Wall Lake. Mary and Donald moved to Fonda, in September of 1963. Read More	Mary Ann Tischer was born on April 13, 1931 on a farm in Sac County, the daughter of Vincent and Lucile (Luft) Determann. She was raised in Sac County, and graduated from Odebolt High School in 1948. She had eight brothers and a sister. On June 2, 1948 she married Donald E. Tischer in Wall Lake, and lived on the Tischer family farm just outside of Wall Lake. Mary and Donald moved to Fonda, in September of 1963. Mary was very involved in the Order of Eastern Star being a 50 year member and a past Worthy Matron. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary as well as the Presbyterian and UCC Churches of Fonda. She was also involved in many community activities to include doing volunteer work at the Fonda Nursing and Rehab Care facility as well as the Fonda Museum. She also worked at the Fonda Public Library. Mary was a very avid fan of sports and attended many of her children and grandchildren's events, sometimes being very noticeable, ask any referee. She was also known to many residents of Fonda as the "cake lady" doing beautiful wedding, anniversary and graduation cakes. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald in 2001: an infant son, Donald Jr. in 1951; parents, Vincent and Lucile (Luft) Determann; brothers: Vincent Jr., Donovan, Melvin, Kenneth, and Richard Determann; and a sister, Phyllis Wilcox. Mary Ann Tischer, age 79, of Fonda, died June 6, 2010 at the Trinity Medical Center in Fort Dodge. -------------------------
