RICHARD BOLES One of the oldest residents of the Corbetton section, Mary Ann Hunking, widow of the late Richard Boles, passed away on Friday, Feb. 12th, 1943, at the home of her son-in-law, Postmaster Dougal Stewart, Corbetton, in her 93rd year. Born at Bowmanville, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Hunking, deceased was a girl of fifteen when her parents came to Melancthon and settled on a bush farm, and she therefore knew much of the hardships of pioneer life. RICHARD BOLES One of the oldest residents of the Corbetton section, Mary Ann Hunking, widow of the late Richard Boles, passed away on Friday, Feb. 12th, 1943, at the home of her son-in-law, Postmaster Dougal Stewart, Corbetton, in her 93rd year. Born at Bowmanville, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Hunking, deceased was a girl of fifteen when her parents came to Melancthon and settled on a bush farm, and she therefore knew much of the hardships of pioneer life. After their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Boles farmed northeast of Corbetton, where their twelve children were born. Of these only one daughter, Mrs. Stewart, survives. After the death of her husband Mrs. Boles lived in Toronto for sixteen years. In later years she resided in Corbetton. Interment took place in Shelburne Cemetery Mortuary, Monday afternoon, Feb. 15th.
