Description	:	From the February 23, 1900 Skidmore Standard, page 8: Mary Jones was born March 14th, 1833 in Alleghany county, Maryland. Died at her home near Skidmore, Feb. 13, 1900, at 2:00 o'clock a.m. She was married to Bartholomew Dunn, Oct. 16, 1847. Of this union ten children were born, five are still living; three were with her at death. Mary Dunn was esteemed for her many virtues, her character was pure; in a word, she was a model mother. Died at her home near Skidmore, Feb. 13, 1900, at 2:00 o'clock a.m. She was married to Bartholomew Dunn, Oct. 16, 1847. Of this union ten children were born, five are still living; three were with her at death. Mary Dunn was esteemed for her many virtues, her character was pure; in a word, she was a model mother. She was indulgent and devoted to her family; in consideration and solicitation for their welfare she was untiring. Her religious life was sincere, the great beyond had no fear for her, the will of God was her will. When a good mother is taken from the bosom of her family it is indeed a severe stroke to that home. A mantel of impenetrable darkness settles down amidst the deep stricken family. However, a gleam of hope, a serene ray of everlasting happiness, reflected by Almighty God, upon the just, is that solace and consolation that lifts the gloom from sad hearts of the bereaved. The remains were buried in the Skidmore cemetery in the presence of a number of sympathizing relatives and friends. Rev. Father Nipper performed the last rites of the Catholic church of which the deceased was a devoted member all through life.
