Born on February 19, 1918 in St Paris, Mary Ann was a daughter of the late Wendell A. and Eula (Sturm) Kite. She married Roy H. Stockton on October 16, 1938 and he preceded her in death on November 2, 1995. by a son of St. Paris, daughter and son-in-law, two grandsons and wives, of Versailles and Canal Fulton, OH, and five great grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. In addition... Read More	Mary Ann Stockton, age 98, of Saint Paris passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2017 in her home. Born on February 19, 1918 in St Paris, Mary Ann was a daughter of the late Wendell A. and Eula (Sturm) Kite. She married Roy H. Stockton on October 16, 1938 and he preceded her in death on November 2, 1995. by a son of St. Paris, daughter and son-in-law, two grandsons and wives, of Versailles and Canal Fulton, OH, and five great grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two sisters: Emma Lou Rust and Martha McCulla, and a brother, Reginald Kite. Mary Ann was a member of the St. Paris United Methodist Church and a 1936 graduate of Johnson-St. Paris High School. She attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. She was the head librarian at the St. Paris Public Library where she served for many years. Mary Ann loved to read and write and kept a daily diary for as long as she was able. Hers was truly a life well lived and she made everywhere she went a better place. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Atkins-Shively Funeral Home, 216 S. Springfield Street, Saint Paris, Ohio 43072. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 19, 2017 in the St. Paris United Methodist Church, 208 W. Walnut Street, St. Paris, Ohio with Reverend Dave Kepple presiding. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, N. High Street, St. Paris.
