MARY WALSH Old Time Resident of this Community Buried Today Mary Ann Reynolds was born in Canton, NY Aug. 6, 1861, and died September 22, 1931 at the age of 70 years, 1 month, and 16 days. At the age of 12 years she came with her parents to Nebraska locating first at Omaha. She was married To Patrick Walsh January 1, 1879. They immediately settled on their homestead farm in D precinct, Seward County which by their thrift, economy, persistent pluck and energy was very substantially and comfortably improved. To this union six sons were born, all of whom are living near Ulysses. They are Matthew, Thomas, Edward, George, Leo, and Ralph. Twenty eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren also survive. She has two brothers, John and William Reynolds living at Imperial, Nebr. One sister preceded her in death. After the death of Mr. Walsh in 1899 Mrs. Walsh remained on the farm where she reared her young sons to manhood and very capably managed the many duties connected with it. Mrs. Walsh was very much devoted to her home and family, always exemplifying a keen interest in their welfare. She will be remembered as a good neighbor, and kind friend, ever ready to lend assistance to those in need. Funeral services were held this morning from St. Patrick's church at Utica at 9:30 AM with burial at St. Mary's cemetery at Ulysses. Six grandsons acted as pall bearers. They are: Bernard Walsh, Ralph Walsh, George Walsh, Thomas Walsh, Charles Walsh, and Robert Walsh. CARD OF THANKS We wish to thank our neighbors and friends for their helpfulness and many kind acts of sympathy given us during the illness and death of our mother and extend our thanks for the beautiful floral offerings.
