Dunfee, the aged widow of Jonathan S. Dunfee, occurred at 4:30 p.m. Friday at her home on North Chauncey street, where she resided with her son-in-law, John W. McNabb. She had been confined to her bed for four months, suffering from blood poisoning and dropsy finally caused her death. Prior to that time she was as well as most people are at such an advanced age. While her death was not expected her family felt it deeply, the loss of their mother being a great blow to the children. Mary A. Quick was the daughter of David and Margaret Quick and was born December 4th, 1827, in Holmes county, Ohio were she grew to womanhood. On October 19, 1848, she was married there to Jonathan S. Dunfee, and in 1850 they moved to Jefferson township, this county, where they were among the best known early settlers. They spent most of their lives there until sixteen years ago, when they moved to this city and have since been residents here. Her husband preceded her to the beyond on April 22, 1900. Seven children were born to them, and five survive - J. C. Dunfee, of Jefferson township; Louis W. Dunfee, Mrs. J. W. McNabb, and Miss Martha Dunfee, of this city, and Mrs. John C. Lawrence, of Union township. Miss Althea Dunfee, a daughter, died November 22, 1903, and David J. Dunfee died some years ago. Three brothers also survive her - Cyrus and Philo Quick, of Fulton county, and Lewis Quick, of Union township. Fifteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive her. The deceased was a kindly hearted Christian woman and her later years were peaceful and happy. She spent much time in doing good to others. She was a faithful friend, a devoted wife and mother and her memory will ever remain dear in the hearts of her family and friends. The funeral will occur Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the residence, Rev.
