Description	:	Mary Ann Sheaffer is the daughter of John B and Catherine W Sheaffer. She married Samuel Root June 1845 Lancaster Co, Pa. They were in PA in 1850, then weht to Ashland Co Oh with Jeremiah Sheaffer, in 1860 he is in Indian Creek, Morgan, IL.(Reed in census) He moves to Kansas in 1869 and dies there 15 Dec 1877. He had Nine children. He married Mary Ann (Anne) Shaeffer in 1845 in PA. She left Samuel in about 1875 and lived with her daughter in Sedan Twp, Chatauqa Co KS.
