Ashford, was born at Calcutta, Ohio, July 28, 1860. She came to Nevada with her parents in 1880 and they had their home east of this city. She was married to Charles R. Carr in 1909. A year later they moved to Redwood Falls, Minn., where they lived until 1915 when they moved back to Ohio, where they lived until her death. During her residence near Nevada she became a member of Central Presbyterian church and more recently transfered her membership to the same denomination in Leetona, Ohio.
