Derowitsch, daughter of Henry and Alalade Farnsworth, was born March 3, 1874, near Concordia, Kansas, and passed away at the home of a daughter in Vancouver, Washington, on September 7, 1951, at the age of 77 years, 6 months and 4 days. She was united in marriage on April 3, 1893, to Jess Stinson. To this union ten children were born all of whom as living. Derowitsch, daughter of Henry and Alalade Farnsworth, was born March 3, 1874, near Concordia, Kansas, and passed away at the home of a daughter in Vancouver, Washington, on September 7, 1951, at the age of 77 years, 6 months and 4 days. She was united in marriage on April 3, 1893, to Jess Stinson. To this union ten children were born all of whom as living. On January 30, 1915, Jess Stinson passed away and on October 15, 1925 she was united in marriage to George Derowitsch, who passed away on October 17, 1944. The deceased spent most of her life in Republic County, Kansas. After the death of Mr. Derowitsch she has made her home with her daughters in Washington. Mrs. Derowitsch was united with the United Brethren church (sic) in Republic, Kansas, where she always kept her membership. She was a very devoted mother. Her greatest aim in life was to make a home for her children and bring them up as good citizens. Those left to mourn her passing are her ten children: Earl and William of Ridgefield, Wash.; Ezra of Belleville, Kansas; Frank of Republic, Kansas; Grace Heisz of Scio, Oregon; Hazel Warren of Vancouver, Wash.; Dave of Wenatchee, Wash.; Gladys Young of Kent, Wash.; Edna Moore of Kelso, Wash.; John of Seattle, Wash.; one sister, Mrs. Dell Larkins of Ventura, Calif.; one brother, Dan Farnsworth of Long Beach, Calif.; 17 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at the Evergreen Funeral Home in Vancouver, Wash. with Rev. J.L. Karutz officiating, and from the Chester Methodist Church on Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 11, at 1:30 with Rev. James K. Irwin in charge. Music was furnished by Mrs. F.C. Duey and Mrs. L.W. Eickman with Mrs. F.C. Haifleigh accompanying. Pallbearers were R.J. Whitman, Fred Poppe, Harley Herald, Harold Leeding, James Burton and David Mathiesen. Interment was in the Chester Cemetery. The Bachelor-Faulkner-Dart Funeral Home was in charge of the funeral arrangements.
