Description	:	Mary Anna Korbe Keller, age 86, passed away at home, Thursday, Dec. 27, 2007, with two of her daughters at her side. She was born to Peter and Rosa Klaus Korbe, Feb. 11, 1921, in Hays, Kan. Mary had eight brothers and sisters. She attended school until the sixth grade. She left school to help out at home. Read More	Mary Anna Korbe Keller, age 86, passed away at home, Thursday, Dec. 27, 2007, with two of her daughters at her side. She was born to Peter and Rosa Klaus Korbe, Feb. 11, 1921, in Hays, Kan. Mary had eight brothers and sisters. She attended school until the sixth grade. She left school to help out at home. On Dec. 31, 1942, she wed Leonard Keller. They lived with his parents and, shortly after their marriage, he was drafted into the Army. Mary then moved to Portland, Ore., living with her brother while working at the shipyards as a welder's helper. When Leonard received a medical discharge, they moved to Denver. She then became a housewife, even using apple crates as chairs. Their first daughter, Joean Marie, was born July 4, 1944, and their second daughter, Mary Jane, was born March 26, 1947. They then moved to Billings, where she continued to take care of her home and daughters. Their third daughter, Judy Kay, was born Aug. 1, 1957. They enjoyed dancing, polkas and playing the accordion. Her grandchildren remember going to Grandpa and Grandma's house for Sunday night dinners. Grandma made the best homemade mashed potatoes! Mary never learned to drive - walking where she needed to go or getting rides to the grocery store. Mary and Leonard were divorced in 1977. Mary never remarried. In those years, she spent time living with her daughters, eventually living full-time with Mary Jane. She enjoyed trips to South Dakota, Idaho and recently to Las Vegas with all three of her daughters. She loved playing Bingo and, most of all, her beloved dogs. Unfortunately, in her later years, she was confined to a wheelchair. We all remember how much fun she thought it was to take off in her wheelchair, down hills on her own with family frantically chasing her down. Recently, Mary Jane and Joean Marie purchased a home together so they could both help care for her. She was fortunate to have all of her immediate family living in Billings, with the exception of Judy, who is living in Mississippi. She was preceded in death by her parents and all eight of her siblings, John, William, Clarence, Walter, Felicitas, Elsie, Virginia and another sister, also named Mary, who passed away as an infant. She is survived by her daughters, Joean Baxter, Mary Mallory and Judy Albert; her seven grandchildren, Debbi (Jeff) Barth, Donald (Cari) Baxter III, Lynette (Tim) Paulson, Richard Weisgarber, Sandra (Brian) Sanderson, James and Tricia Saucier; and her seven great-grandchildren, Chelsey and Brad Barth, DJ and Allyssa Baxter, Bryan Paulson, Keely Sanderson and Tyler Saucier.
