Description	:	Mary Augusta Moodie was born Feb 7, 1869 in West Point, NE. In 1895 she married Thomas Patrick Darcy in West Point, Cuming Co. Nebraska. Her father was Robert Moodie and mother was Caroline Pulsifer, they were married in about 1867, in Dodge Co. Nebraska. Mary A Moodie's died when Mary was 14 and her father re-married, as a result Mary was raised largely by her grandparents, John and Mary Pulsifer. Read More	Mary Augusta Moodie was born Feb 7, 1869 in West Point, NE. In 1895 she married Thomas Patrick Darcy in West Point, Cuming Co. Nebraska. Her father was Robert Moodie and mother was Caroline Pulsifer, they were married in about 1867, in Dodge Co. Nebraska. Mary A Moodie's died when Mary was 14 and her father re-married, as a result Mary was raised largely by her grandparents, John and Mary Pulsifer. Mary met Thomas Patrick Darcy when he was working for Carlos and Frank Pulsifer, in and around Crowell, NE. They were married at West Point, just a few miles from Crowell. Mary Moodie Darcy died Jan 3, 1959. She suffered a stroke in 1939 and was partially paralyzed for 20 years. Thomas Patrick Darcy died 8 months later on Sep 4, 1959 at the age of 91. Funeral service were held Wednesday morning , Jan 7, 1959 at St Ludger Catholic Church with the Rev. Father Malvern Wiese celebrating th mass of Christian burial. Internment was in the family plot in St. Ludger Cemetery. Pallbearers were Peter Thomassen, J.R. Manion, Ed Mattern, Joe Dartman, Henry Sebade and E.P. Tharnish. Mrs. Darcy died at Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton, SD. Jan 3, 1959 at age 89. Mary A. Moodie was born to Robert and Carrie Moddie near Cowell on Feb 19, 1869. On Jan 9, 1895 she was united in marriage to Thomas Patrick Darcy in St. Mary's Church at West Point, Ne. They established their home in Creighton, Ne. where they lived until November 1856, when they moved to Yankton, SD. to live with their daughter, Miss Kathleen Darcy. Seven children were born to them. They were Mrs. E.J. (Mary) Lee of Spalding, Ne., now deceased. Robert of Berwyn, illinois, William of El Monte, Calif., and Thomas & Michael who died in infancy. Survivors: her husband Thomas, four children, 9 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren.
