Buch Geier was born June 9, 1866. in Clear Creek Twp, and passed away at the home of her sister, Mrs. John A. Peiffer of Keota, March 1, 1939 at the age of 72 years, 8 mo. and 21 days. On June 12, 1908 she was married to Jacob Geier who preceded her in death 20 years ago. To this union was born one child, a daughter, who died in infancy. She was a lifelong resident of Sigourney and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She leaves to mourn her loss, one broiher, Constant Buch and two sisters, Margaret (Mrs. Paul) Peiffer and Mrs. John A. (Susan) Peiffer, all of Keota. Devoted to her religion and her family, she led a useful and exemplary life and was held in high esteem by all who knew her. Funeral services were held at St. Mary's Church, Keota, Friday, March 3rd at nine thirty A.M. A requiem mass was celebrated by Rev. Father N. J. Peiffer of Muscatine. Burial was in West Cemetery, Sigourney. Pall bearers were six nephews, Pete Hammes, Nick Hammes, Anton Buch, Leo Buch, Edward J. Peiffer and Frank B.
