A gathering of family and friends will take place from 1:00 to 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at the Pape Funeral Home. A memorial service will begin at 2:00 PM. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Mary was born in Clinton on December 19, 1925, the daughter of Fay and Catherine (Petersen) Lambert. She graduated from Clinton High School. Mary married Raymond Foley on March 3, 1945 in Fort Pierce, FL. Raymond passed away on March 5, 2008. Mary was a member of Community Congregational Church, UCC where she was an active volunteer, especially in the food pantry. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mary is survived by two daughters; Janice Foley of Fairfax, IA and Susan Foley of Myrtle Beach, SC; two grandchildren, Tina Whitney of Chicago and Michael (Carmen) Whitney of Center Point, IA and two great grandchildren, Lauren Whitney and Macintyre Whitney. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother Don and a sister, Betty. Memorials may be made to Genesis Hospice or Mobile Meals. Pape Funeral Home
