Read More	Norfolk Daily News - Norfolk, Madison County, Nebraska - April 18, 1894: "DEATH OF MISS MARY MACY -- She Passed Quietly Away at Belle Plaine, Iowa, Last Wednesday -- The many friends of Miss Mary Macy will he shocked, though not surprised, to learn of her sudden death last Wednesday morning at Belle Plaine, Iowa. For the past two years the young lady's health had been failing rapidly, and when she left here six weeks ago her friends feared the worst. Since leaving Norfolk her decline was rapid. Her father, I. M. Macy, joined her about one month since, and was at her bedside when she breathed her last. All that medical aid could accomplish was done, but the disease had taken too firm a hold on the frail constitution of the young lady, and physicians could do nothing. The funeral services occurred Friday, and the remains Interred beside the grave of her mother in the Belle Plaine cemetery. Miss Macy was the daughter of Mr. Macy by his first wife, and at the time of her death was 23 years old. Mr. Macy has the sympathy of his host of Norfolk friends In the hour of his bereavement."
