Description	:	Funeral services were held at Lake Preston Lutheran Church on Saturday morning at 10:30 for Mary Malone, 87. Pastor Paul Rohde and Pastor Conrad Krahling were clergymen. Mrs. Keith Hesby was the organist and Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Jones sang. Mary Clara Noem was born September 27, 1895, at the farm home north of Lake Preston to Peter and Goro (Halseth) Noem. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She grew to young womanhood in this area and in September of 1927 she married Thomas Malone. Mary Clara Noem was born September 27, 1895, at the farm home north of Lake Preston to Peter and Goro (Halseth) Noem. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She grew to young womanhood in this area and in September of 1927 she married Thomas Malone. To this union a son, Francis, and a daughter, Marian (Mundhenke), were born. Her husband died in July, 1968 and Mary moved into a home in Lake Preston where she resided until July, 1981 when she entered Kingsbury Memorial Manor where she died March 29, 1983. Mary was a lifetime member of the Lutheran Church. Survivors include her son, Francis, Oldham, and daughter and son-in-law, Marian and August Mundhenke of De Smet; three grandsons, David of Waterloo, Ia., Jeff, Sioux Falls, Brent, De Smet; one granddaughter, Mary Alice of Sioux Falls; one sister, Tena Jones, Erwin. Preceding her in death in addition to her husband were her parents, six brothers and two sisters. Pallbearers were Percy Sutton, Bernard Malone, Everett Malone, Ralph Noem, Dale Jones and Vernon Wilde. Burial was in the Lake Preston City Cemetery.
