They made their home at Wagner, Armour, and Huron before moving to a farm near Miller in 1935. Several years ago, the family moved to Miller. Edited by CSR. ----- Mary Catherine (Halter) Losey was born at Templeton, Iowa, November 22, 1887. She was married in 1908 to Clyde Losey in Pine Wood, Ontario. They made their home at Wagner, Armour, and Huron before moving to a farm near Miller in 1935. Several years ago, the family moved to Miller. As long as her health permitted, Mrs. Losey took an active part in women's activities of St. Ann's Church. Two years ago she and Mr. Losey observed their fiftieth wedding anniversary. Mrs. Losey died Saturday, June 18, 1960 at Hand County Memorial Hospital in Miller, where she had been a patient since she suffered a heart attack in March. She had also suffered a series of strokes. Survivors include her widower, one son, Charles, Miller, and six daughters, Mrs. J.R. Danielson, Highmore; Mrs. Darlo Bloodgood, Mrs. Donald Lundeen, Huron; Mrs. John Manning, Pierre; Mrs. Russell Paye, Highmore, and Mrs. Mary Coates, Alhambra, Calif.; three brothers, Joe and Henry Halter, Huron; Jack Halter, Miller; two sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Kretzscher, Chicago and Mrs. Ida Ady, Laramie, Wyo., 18 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Requiem Mass: St. Ann's Catholic Church. Celebrants: Rev. Fr. Richard Gorman, Miller, Rev. Fr. J.P. Mardian, Highmore; Rev. Fr. John Murray, Huron, and Rev. Fr. M. Leo O'Doherty, Fort Pierre. Burial: St. Ann's Catholic cemetery. -------- Year-of-birth in submitted obit was 1887. Tombstone has 1888. * A daughter (Mary Coates) is listed in obit, but spelling in son, Charles Losey's obit has his sister as (Mary Ida Gholson). -csr
