Description	:	Mary D. Marker, 92, a former longtime Wenatchee Valley resident, passed away Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 20, 2001 at Hearthside Assisted Living Center in Lynnwood. She was born on Oct. 17, 1908 to Henry W. and Bertha H. (Wallin) Peters at Douglas. She was married to John G. Marker on Oct. 10, 1927 in Wenatchee. They made their home together in the Wenatchee and East Wenatchee areas. Her husband, John G. Marker preceded her in death on Feb. 1, 1980. Marker, 92, a former longtime Wenatchee Valley resident, passed away Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 20, 2001 at Hearthside Assisted Living Center in Lynnwood. She was born on Oct. 17, 1908 to Henry W. and Bertha H. (Wallin) Peters at Douglas. She was married to John G. Marker on Oct. 10, 1927 in Wenatchee. They made their home together in the Wenatchee and East Wenatchee areas. Her husband, John G. Marker preceded her in death on Feb. 1, 1980. She continued to make her home in East Wenatchee until moving to Lynnwood in 1993. Mary was a member of the Wenatchee Brethren Baptist Church United, the East Wenatchee Grange, Wenatchee Aerie #204 F.O.E. Auxiliary. Mary and her husband were former "Eagles of the Year" and had received many, many blue ribbons at the North Central Washington Fair for her needle work and canned fruit. She donated much of her time doing charity work for the Brethren Church Circle. She loved her flowers, especially her peonies and roses. She is survived by five sons, Jack W. Marker, Kirkland, George H. Marker, Edmonds, Robert E. Marker, Junction City, OR, John V. Marker, Everett and James D. Marker, Quincy; two sisters, Frances McLaughlin, Seattle and Tilda Thomas, Omak; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter, Betty J. Coppess, four brothers, Louie, Gus, Bill and Ben Peters and one sister, Ethel Peters. Commemoration Services will be held on Monday morning, Feb. 26, 2001 at 10 a.m. at Telford's Chapel of the Valley with the Rev. Sam Detwiler officiating. Concluding services and the interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park. Friends who wish may make memorial donations in her name to the Brethren Baptist Church United or King's Orchard Church of Christ.
