Curtin, of Farley, the Rev. Wm. Marcus Purce officiating. This affair was one of the prettiest wedding that has ever happened in Farley. The church was nicely decorated with flowers and potted plants. Before the ceremony; which took place at 1 o’clock, the church began to fill with people, and a large congregation witnessed the wedding. The Rev. W. M. Purce awaited in the chancel; the approach of the bridal group, which comprised of Mr. Wm. B. Pitman, a brother of the groom; as groomsman, and Miss Jessie Pitman as bridesmaid. Following came the groom, preceding the bride and Mr. John R. Walters, who “gave the bride away.” Mrs. C. E. Gault presided at the organ. After the ceremony the newly wedded couple was taken to the C. G. W. depot at North Farley, whence they departed for Bristow, Iowa, where they spent the honeymoon. The groom is a young man well known in this part of the country where he has lived all his life. He is an industrious young farmer, and is now living on the family estate at John’s Creek. The bride is a “pretty little English girl” who has been living with her uncle, Mr. Joseph Walters ever since she came with him from England, over a year ago. The Advertiser, with their many friends extends congratulations and well-wisher to the young couple.
