Van Horn, an old resident of Albion, whose death occurred Thursday afternoon, was told in Thursdays night's Times-Republican, will be held from the Friends' Church in Albion, at 11 o'clock Saturday morning. Interment will be in the Albion Cemetery. Mrs. Van Horn was a life-long member of the denomination. Mrs. Mary E. Van Horn, the wife of R. H. Van Horn, was born in Grant county, Indiana, on August 21, 1831. Her family came to Iowa in 1856, settling in Lee county, where she was married to Mr. Van Horn on January 10, 1857. Mr. and Mrs. Van Horn came to Marshall county in 1868. They were the parents of six children, all but one of whom are now living. The children are William C. Van Horn of Albion; Mrs. Retta Pemberton and Mrs. Dora McLeod, of Salem, Oregon; Mrs. Sepha Thurber, of this city; and Dr. Charles Van Horn of Topeka, Kansas. Mrs. Van Horn is also survived by three brothers and two sisters. They are J.B. Knight of Owasa; William Knight of Albion; James Knight and Mrs. Anna Baldwin, of Pasadena, California; and Mrs. Lizzie Thornton of New Providence.
