Logsdon died January 15, aged 61 years and 3 months. She was born in Ohio, October 17, 1846. May 30, 1865, she was married to Mr. Logsdon, and to them were born three daughters, Mrs. McKee of Topeka, Mrs. Vergie Nicholas of Niles, Kan., and Edna Logsdon of this place. Mr. and Mrs. Logsdon came to Richland 23 years ago, and in the years since have been identified with every movement that has been for the better interests of our little city. About a year ago Mrs. Logsdon began to be troubled with an effection of the heart, which gradually grew worse, until it finally took a serious form, since which time she has been in a serious condition. There were times when her suffering was intense, but she bore it with Christian fortitude and made all about her at ease, so far as it was possible. Mrs. Logsdon was of a retiring nature. She did not go into society a great deal, but was loved and respected by all who knew her. Her home was her kingdom, and she will be greatly missed by her daughters, who delighted to come home as often as possible. Her life has not been lived in vain, for she had laid up treasures in the land of eternal day, and is now enjoying the fruits of a good life lived here. The funeral was held in the Methodist church conducted by Rev. Roby, pastor of the United Brethren church, and the interment was made in the Pleasant Hill cemetery.
