She was united in marriage with Frederick Michael Finefield, November 14th, 1875 at Rochester, Iowa. To this union one son was born, who died in infancy. Her husband preceded her in death in 1918. MARY FINEFIELD, OF ROCHESTER, SUMMONED Mary McCune Finefield, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John McCune, was born at Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Feb. 27, 1852, and passed away at her home in Rochester, Iowa, Oct. 27, 1934, at the age of 82 years and 8 months. She was united in marriage with Frederick Michael Finefield, November 14th, 1875 at Rochester, Iowa. To this union one son was born, who died in infancy. Her husband preceded her in death in 1918. They spent the first thirteen years of their married life in Morse, Johnson county, Iowa, moving to Rochester in 1888, where she has lived for the last 46 years. After coming to Rochester, Mr. and Mrs. Finefield adopted Harry when he was only a babe, to whom they have looked constantly forward for comfort even to the last. Aunt Mollie, as she was called by many who knew her, always enjoyed her many friends. She was always friendly and cheerful and ready to lend a helping hand. She had been the telephone operator, day and night, for almost 28 years, taking but one vacation in all that time. She is survived by her adopted son, Harry, and three brothers, Mike McCune of Baggs, Wyoming; Henry of Rock Island, Ill.; Will, of Rochester, and a number of nieces and nephews, who join with the host of friends in mourning her demise. Funeral services were conducted from the Rochester church, Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, by the Rev. A.W. Straub and interment was made in Rochester cemetery.
