Adella, died at 6:20 p.m. Wednesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Sidney Carmer of 1315 Chester. She had been in failing health for two years. The daughter of James and Bertha Daniels, she was born in Schuyler County, Mo. [sic] Oct. 18, 1885 and had lived in Ottumwa for 22 years. She was a member of the Christian Church at Lancaster, Mo. She married Harry Amiss at Lancaster, Mo. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Pauline Norris, Mrs. Elizabeth Wilson and Mrs. Carmer, all of Ottumwa; two granddaughters; two brothers, Dulin Daniels and Ray Daniels, both of Bloomfield, and a sister, Mrs. Henry Lamb of West Grove. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1955 and by an infant daughter. The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Jay Funeral Home. Rev. William I. Kerr of First Christian Church will be in charge. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery. The casket will be closed at the beginning of the service.
