Description	:	Mary E. Green, age 86 of Tilden, Nebraska, passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2012, at Heritage of Bel-Air in Norfolk, Nebraska. Mary was born August 25, 1930, the daughter of Clyde "Buck" and Bertha (Lampert) Osborn in Madison County, Nebraska. Mary attended elementary school at rural Battle Creek and was a graduate of Battle Creek High School. She taught elementary school for two years. Mary was born August 25, 1930, the daughter of Clyde "Buck" and Bertha (Lampert) Osborn in Madison County, Nebraska. Mary attended elementary school at rural Battle Creek and was a graduate of Battle Creek High School. She taught elementary school for two years. On June 27, 1944, Mary married Robert Green at Heights Church, rural Battle Creek. Three children were born to this union: Marilyn, Bev, and Deb. Mary was a devoted farm wife and mother, and enjoyed working beside her husband farming and raising horses. She was a life time member of Saint Paul's Lutheran Church at Buffalo Creek and Ladies Aid. Mary and her husband Bob were also members of the Madison County Rangers, Norfolk Saddle Club, the Spinning Spokes Buggy Club, and Virginia Squares Dancing Club. Mary was an active 4-H leader, member of Tri-County Extension Club, and neighborhood card clubs. She passed away on August 7, 2012 at Heritage of Bel-Air Nursing Home at the age of 86. Mary is survived by daughters and their husbands, Marilyn and Skip Wingate of Norfolk, Nebraska, Bev and Bill Barry of West Point, Nebraska, and Deb and Ron Qualset of Tilden, Nebraska; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and sisters, Helen Reeves of Norfolk, Nebraska, Betty (Don) Walmsely of Norfolk, Nebraska, Ruth (Richard) Bierman of Battle Creek, Nebraska, and Marjorie (Joe) Bierman of Bakersfield, California. Mary was preceded in death by: parents; husband, Robert Green; sisters, LoGene Terry and Fern Reeves; brothers, Glen, Jack, and Kenneth (Tige) Osborn; as well as brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Burial was in the St. John Lutheran Cemetery, Battle Creek, Nebraska.
