Description	:	Mary Edna Glascock, daughter of Eugene W. and Ellen Woods Glascock, was born June 4, 1881 in Washington township, Van Buren county, Iowa, and passed away from this life at Fairfield, Ia., May 13, 1955 at the age of 73 years, 11 months and 9 days. Death came quite suddenly last Friday from a heart attack while she was shopping in Pennys store. Her early life was spent in and near Bonaparte where she attended school. Read More	Mary Edna Glascock, daughter of Eugene W. and Ellen Woods Glascock, was born June 4, 1881 in Washington township, Van Buren county, Iowa, and passed away from this life at Fairfield, Ia., May 13, 1955 at the age of 73 years, 11 months and 9 days. Death came quite suddenly last Friday from a heart attack while she was shopping in Pennys store. Her early life was spent in and near Bonaparte where she attended school. She was united in marriage to Oscar Thomas April 22, 1905, near Bentonsport. He preceded her in death three years last March. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Frances, Jessie and Anna, two brothers, William and Charles. Surviving her passing are one brother, Alex W. Glascock, living near Utica, one niece and four nephews, other relatives and friends. Edna and Oss moved to the Edmonson farm north of Bentonsport in 1908, where she lived the remainder of her life. The past few years a nephew, Harold Pratt and family have lived with her. She was a member of the Presbyterian church of Bonaparte. Also belonged to the Royal Neighbors and was a member of the Sunshine Society. She always enjoyed taking an active part in community and social activities. She was a good neighbor, always cheerful and kind with a good word for everyone. She will be sadly missed by her many friends. Altho knowing she had a bad heart condition, she was always jolly and busy at something. Her sincere wish was to remain well and active, until her calling, this wish was truly granted. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, May 16, at 2 o'clock at the Bonaparte Presbyterian church conducted by Rev. John Gill with interment in Bonaparte cemetery.
