Description	:	Mary Eileen Bell was born September 25, 1956, in Algona, Iowa, the daughter of Edmund and Mary Catherine (Farrell) Elbert. She grew up and attended school in Whittemore and later Bishop Garrigan High School, graduating in 1974. Eileen went on to attend Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge. After her schooling she worked in Des Moines before moving back to Algona in 1978. On May 24, 1980, Eileen was united in marriage to Chuck Bell at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Whittemore. Read More	Mary Eileen Bell was born September 25, 1956, in Algona, Iowa, the daughter of Edmund and Mary Catherine (Farrell) Elbert. She grew up and attended school in Whittemore and later Bishop Garrigan High School, graduating in 1974. Eileen went on to attend Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge. After her schooling she worked in Des Moines before moving back to Algona in 1978. On May 24, 1980, Eileen was united in marriage to Chuck Bell at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Whittemore. After their marriage they lived in Algona and Eileen worked as a medical assistant for Dr. Rooney. After Dr. Rooney retired Eileen went to work at the Kossuth Regional Health Center and was currently still working in the Purchasing Department. Being married to a fireman for 32 years and the Fire Chief for 12 years she was very involved and supportive of everything going on with the Algona Fire Department. Eileen was also a very loyal supporter of Bishop Garrigan athletics and especially loved cheering on her precious daughter and the Golden Bears. She also enjoyed golfing, bowling, the Algona St. Patrick's Day parade, of which she is a past Grand Marshal in 2009 and she also looked forward every year to dancing on stage with the Vic Ferrari Band in Livermore to the song "Come On Eileen". Eileen battled with cooking, but was known for her bacon wrapped little smokies and green bean casserole. She was also a past volunteer member of the EMS and an active member of St. Cecelia Parish as a Eucharistic minister and in the Adoration chapel. Eileen died Tuesday, September 11, 2012, at the Kossuth Regional Health Center in Algona, Iowa. She was 55. Left to cherish her memory are husband, Chuck Bell of Algona; daughter, Emily Bell of Algona, currently attending NIACC; brothers, Dan and Maureen Elbert of Whittemore; Mick and Patty Elbert of Algona; twin sister, Ellen and Ron Meyer of Whittemore; mother-in-law, Bonnie Bell of Algona; brother-in-law, Bill and Lori Bell of Marshall, MN; nieces and nephews, Kelly Elbert, Danielle and Andy Hartle, Josh Meyer, Ben and Brooke Meyer, Edmund, Patrick, Garrett, Alex, Andrew, and Kevin Elbert, Andrew and Jonathon Bell; two great nephews, Cooper Meyer and Brayden Hartle and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie and Mary Elbert and father-in-law, Loren Bell.
