Mrs. Mary Brotemarkle, wife of Milton Brotemarkle, who lives near the Bedford Road about two miles beyond Centenary Church, over the line in Pennsylvania, died suddenly, Monday evening. Mr. Brotemarkle had come to market and upon returning home found his wife dying. She had not been in good health but her death was not expected. Mrs. Brotemarkle was the only daughter of the late Jacob Anderson. James Anderson was her only brother. Besides her husband she leaves one son George Brotemarkle, of Ohio, son-in-law of ex-Mayor Mellinger of this city; two daughters, Miss Ada Brotemarkle, a trained nurse in the Western Maryland Hospital and Miss Nellie, a teacher up in Cumberland Valley, who recently resigned to take care of her mother. Mrs. Brotemarkle was 54 years of age and a member of Centenary Methodist Protestant Church since girlhood and was held in the highest esteem by her neighbors. Her funeral will take place at Centenary tomorrow afternoon at two o'clock. Rev. A. H. Green, of Centerville, officiating. Undertaker Stein has charge of the funeral.
