Description	:	Mrs. Jno. R. Judd, daughter of Jacob Beahm, Esq., after a protracted illness of several months, died at husband’s residence near Luray on Thursday, Dec. 11, 1884. She was a member of the German Baptist church, and a devoted Christian, as we are informed by those who knew her well. Speechless for several days, she recovered her voice a few hours before her death, and called her husband and friends around her death-bed, exhorted them all to meet her in heaven. Obituary on file at Harrisonburg-Rockingham Historical Society, Dayton, Va., from unknown newspaper. From a Beahm website, she was Mary Elizabeth Beahm born Apr 20 1846 d/o Jacob & Mary Ann (Shenk) Beahm, and married John Russell Judd. 1880 census of Page Co. shows John & wife Mary Judd, both aged 34, thus she was 38 years at death.
