Mrs. Weston was born at Arlington and formerly lived at Lamoni and Independence, Mo. She had lived with a daughter, Mrs. Edna Wilson of near Strawberry Point, for 22 years until she came to stay with the grandson here a few month ago. She had been active until last easter and had been confined to a wheelchair since that time. Her hobby was knitting, and she like to play dominoes. President Kennedy sent her a birthday greeting on her last birthday anniversary Dec. 21. Survivors include the daughter, a son, Dewey Eckhart of Cedar Rapids; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Mary Weston Dies at 104 Special to The Gazette EDGEWOOD--Mary Weston, Northeast Iowa's oldest resident, died Tuesday. She was 104. She lived with her daughter, Edna Wilson in rural Strawberry Point. Mrs. Weston regularly attended the Edgewood Congregational church and voted in last year's school election. Born Dec. 21, 1853, at Brushcreek (now Arlington) she was married to George Eckheart when she was 18. They farmed in the Arlington area until 1900. After Mr. Eckheart's death she lived in Lamoni and Independence, Mo. In 1929 she was married to John Weston. He died in 1934.
