Description	:	Mrs. Clarence Jackson, nee Mary Eason, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Eason of Alton, passed on at the DeBey hospital in Orange City Wednesday, May 14 at about 7:30 o'clock in the evening. Hodgkins disease with which she had suffered for some months, was the cause of her passing. Funeral arrangements have not been made, awaiting news from relatives, but services will probably not be held before Saturday or Monday. Mrs. Eason was born 47 years ago on March 14th, four miles south of Orange City, the family, of whom she was the eldest daughter, later moving to Alton. She graduated from Alton high school in 1900 and taught school for six years. She was married March 28, 1907 to Clarence E. Jackson and five children were born to the couple: Marlys, Floyd, Oral, Stephen and James. The family have resided for some years on a farm near Kenneth, Minnesota. Besides her parents, husband and children, Mrs. Jackson is survived by nine brothers and sisters: George Eason of Alton; Oscar, Orange City; Dr. John, Sanborn; Earnerst, Montrose, Calif.; Hilda, Alton; Emilia, Mrs. John Koppenel, Gosneyville, Ky.; Dr. Alvin, Luverne, Ia.; Mrs. Harry DeJong (Zella) Orange City; Fred, Alton. Earnest is now on the way home from California. A brother, Steve, passed on 17 years ago. Mrs. Jackson was a fine woman and devoted mother. Alton friends feel great sympathy for the family.
