Lincoln Way, died at 10:45 p.m. Sunday in Salem Community Hospital following a lengthy illness. She was born Aug 24, 1902, in Elkrun Township, a daughter of the late Charles K. Groff and Mary Emma Kirchherr Groff, and had lived here her lifetime. She had worked 39 years as a clerk at the former A & P Tea Co. of Lisbon, retiring in 1961. She was a member of Lisbon First United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, Rudolph W. Marx, whom she married Feb 2, 1961; a step-daughter, Mrs. Charles (Helen) M. Carlisle of Lisbon; two stepsons Ralph W. Marx of New Alexander and Carl E. Marx of Lisbon; five nephews and a niece. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Clarence Groff and Robert Groff. Funeral services are to be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Eells-Leggett Funeral Home by the Rev. Richard Parks of the Lisbon First United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Lisbon Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
