Samuel had 4 children from his previous marriage: Edwin, Kate, George and Clyde. Samuel and Mary farmed in Greene county until moving to a farm in Burt county, NE after 1885. They had 2 children, Mahlon and Clara Gallup. She had been injured in a fall at her home in Lyons Saturday, when she suffered a fracture of the hip and later a paralytic stroke. Survivors include one son, Mahlon Thompson; a stepson, Ed P. Thompson; and a grandson, Glen Robertson, all of Lyons, Mrs. Thompson was the widow of the late Sam Thompson.
