She grew up in Herman Township graduating from Orland High School and Eastern State Normal with a teaching certificate. She taught in various schools in Lake County. She also did book keeping for their construction business. She served on the St Thomas School Board, Madison Nursery School Board and was instrumental in establishing the Madison Hospital/Sioux Valley Kidney Dialyses Unit. Read More	Mary Treloar April 11, 1921 - December 04, 2014 Mary Elizabeth Hart was born at Herman Township, on April 11, 1921 to John and Margaret (Shea) Hart. She grew up in Herman Township graduating from Orland High School and Eastern State Normal with a teaching certificate. She taught in various schools in Lake County. She also did book keeping for their construction business. She served on the St Thomas School Board, Madison Nursery School Board and was instrumental in establishing the Madison Hospital/Sioux Valley Kidney Dialyses Unit. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters, Extension Club, Prairie Village Auxiliary, St Thomas Altar Society, VFW Auxiliary and Women’s Auxiliary to the Madison Fire Department. She enjoyed playing bridge. She married Virgil Treloar at Madison on February 8, 1946. He preceded her in death in 2003. Mary Treloar, age 93, died under hospice care at the home of her daughter in Sioux Falls on December 4, 2014. She is survived by two sons - James of Madison and Pine Ridge, SD and Jack (Vicky) of LaMars, IA. Two daughters - Jean (Ray) Wenk of Hartford, SD and Joan (Rich) Leafstedt of Sioux Falls. 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a son - William in 2013, one brother and three sisters. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, December 8, 2014 at St Thomas Aquinas Church with Rev DeWayne Kayser officiating. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery. There will be a Catholic Daughter Rosary at 5:00 PM to be followed by a Parish Scripture service on Sunday at Weiland Funeral Chapel which is in charge of the arrangements.
