Hathaway, of Tingley, the oldest woman in Ringgold county, died October 29, 1945, aged 96 years, four months, and 26 days, at her home in Tingley. Her husband, Albert F. Hathaway, died September 25, 1916, at their farm home in Tingley township, where they had lived since they moved from Union county in 1870. They lived together for more than 53 years. Hathaway, died September 25, 1916, at their farm home in Tingley township, where they had lived since they moved from Union county in 1870. They lived together for more than 53 years. They had 13 children, 43 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren. Ten of her descendants have been overseas. The oldest son, H. B. Hathaway, died November 8, 1944. They had been active members of the Tingley Christian church since 1874. Funeral services were held for Mrs. Hathaway at two o'clock November 1, 1945, at the Methodist church in Tingley, and interment was in the Tingley cemetery.
