Description	:	Mary Elizabeth Heine passed away on the family ranch east of Roundup in the home of Marc and Rose Emily Blum early on April 20, 2017. Mary was born to Henry Herman "Harry" Hochmuth and Emily Henkle Hochmuth on July 2,1925, at their farm house near Harrisonville, Missouri, just south of Kansas City The family moved to Montana between Mary's Junior and Senior year in high school. Harry and Emily had purchased the ranch east of Roundup but it was under lease so they moved west of Broadview to work on the Studebacher farm/ranch until their ranch became available. Mary was born to Henry Herman "Harry" Hochmuth and Emily Henkle Hochmuth on July 2,1925, at their farm house near Harrisonville, Missouri, just south of Kansas City The family moved to Montana between Mary's Junior and Senior year in high school. Harry and Emily had purchased the ranch east of Roundup but it was under lease so they moved west of Broadview to work on the Studebacher farm/ranch until their ranch became available. Mary graduated as Valedictorian at Broadview High School and went on get her B.S. in Elementary Education with a minor in Art at Eastern Montana College. While at EMC, Mary also played her violin in the college orchestra. Upon graduation, Mary taught 2nd grade in Billings, Roundup, and Laurel. In June of 1957, Mary married Ruben Henry Heine of Billings, Montana. They later divorced and Mary moved to the family ranch east of Roundup to raise her daughter Rose Emily Heine. With her brother Joseph Hochmuth, she took care of her parents in their old age and inherited half of the ranch for her good deeds. Mary loved God, bird watching, collecting rocks, sheep, chickens, baby calves, music, painting in oil, watercolor, and sketching, and teaching children. Mary loved history and was a Charter and Life Member of the Musselshell Valley Historical Museum in Roundup. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her former husband Ruben, her brothers Joseph, Henry, and John, and a sister Mary Katherine who passed away at an early age. Mary is survived by her daughter Rose Emily Blum and son in law Marc Blum, and by numerous nieces and nephews whom she lovely dearly. The family would like to thank Compassus/Rocky Montain Hospice for helping keep Mary as comfortable as possible in her last days and also thank the Pelan family for being such wonderful friends and neighbors.
