"Mrs. Gilden Called to Rest" "Rest came to relieve the months of suffering for Mary McArthur Gilden at their home in East Eureka on Saturday morning. Mrs. Gilden was born in Roger City, Michigan, on August 28, 1876. On May 9, 1901, she was united in marriage to John Gilden and died on their 36th wedding anniversary. Five children were born to this union: Fanny Drury of Spokane, Harold of Fortine, John of Coulee City, Washington, Fred of Monterey Park, California and Donald of Eureka. A husband, five children and four grandchildren are left to mourn the loss of a devoted mother, a wise counselor and friend. Mrs. Gilden came to Montana 29 years ago and settled at Kalispell. Later the family moved to Fortine and a short time later to Eureka where they have since resided. Many friends will miss this gentle woman who spent her life in doing well the little things. Funeral services were held from Our Lady of Mercy church in Eureka with Rev. Father Kelley officiating."
