Description	:	The remains of the late Mrs. Christopher Davis, who died recently in Minden, Missouri, arrived in Boone Wednesday noon. The funeral services were held from the Presbyterian church at 9:30 o'clock thursday morning, conducted by the Rev. Mason and the Rev. Crawford, burial in the Bluff Creek cemetery. Boone County Democrat November 27, 1908 ----------------------------------- Boone County Democrat December 4, 1908 The funeral services of the late Mrs. Christopher Davis, whose death at Minden, Iowa, was mentioned last week, were held from the Presbyterian church at 9:30 o'clock thanksgiving morning, Nov. 26th., conducted by the Rev. O.H.L. Mason and attended by many sorrowing relatives and friends. The remains were laid to rest in Bluff Creek cemetery beside those of the husband who passed away in Yell township in 1898. Deceased was a native of Wales, born Dec. 4, 1843, and was nearly sixty five years old at the time of her death. When young she came with her family to America. They resided for a time in Missouri and then came to Boone county bout forty years ago. They resided at Shepardstown and Incline. After the husband's death she went to Minden to make her home with her children and has since resided there. She had been a patient sufferer, with heart trouble for many years. She is survived by six sons, John, Thomas, Clarence and Christopher of Minden, Iowa and Morgan and William of Boone county, and one daughter Maggie at Minden. The bereaved children have the sincere sympathy of their many friends in their sorrow.
