Description	:	Mary E. (Satchell) Capehart – Mary E. Satchell was born Sept. 17, 1837 in Ross Co. Ohio, and died April 15, 1915, at the age of 77 yrs, 5 mos and 28 days. At the age of twelve she came to Iowa with her parents and located near Montezuma. On Dec. 13, 1860, she was united in marriage to John A. Capehart, who proceded her in death Aug. 24, 1910. (Satchell) Capehart – Mary E. Satchell was born Sept. 17, 1837 in Ross Co. Ohio, and died April 15, 1915, at the age of 77 yrs, 5 mos and 28 days. At the age of twelve she came to Iowa with her parents and located near Montezuma. On Dec. 13, 1860, she was united in marriage to John A. Capehart, who proceded her in death Aug. 24, 1910. To this union was born one child, Emma R. wife of D. F. McAninch. In 1878 they located in Brooklyn. Mrs. Capehart united with the Methodist Episcopal Church during the pastorate of Rev. R. A. Cornine July 1, 1886, being a faithful loving Christian. In later years she had been unable to attend services regularly on account of ill health. She was a woman of a kind and loving disposition and all who knew her were her friends and spoke words of praise for her. She was held in high esteem by her neighbors and was a kind, loving mother and wife. Before sickness kept her at home she was active in W. R. C. She is survived by two sisters, three brothers, her daughter and three grand children. Funeral services were held at the M. E. Church Sunday, conducted by the pastor. Interment in I.O.O.F.
