Westerman, 75, a resident of Wenatchee and a former longtime resident of Waterville, died Sunday, Dec. 26, 1993, in Parkside Manor. She was born Aug. 4, 1918, to Delos A. and Gretta (Bagley) Shiner at Wenatchee. She attended school at Wenatchee and graduated as valedictorian at Wenatchee High School in 1935. She later attended the University of Washington and Whitman College, where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. Westerman, 75, a resident of Wenatchee and a former longtime resident of Waterville, died Sunday, Dec. 26, 1993, in Parkside Manor. She was born Aug. 4, 1918, to Delos A. and Gretta (Bagley) Shiner at Wenatchee. She attended school at Wenatchee and graduated as valedictorian at Wenatchee High School in 1935. She later attended the University of Washington and Whitman College, where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. She worked in her father's law office and for a fruit brokerage before her marriage. She married Albert O. Westerman on Dec. 26, 1955, at Wenatchee. They operated a wheat ranch east of Waterville and lived in Waterville until ill health forced them to move to Wenatchee. She was a member of the Waterville United Lutheran Church, and the Tabitha and Mary Martha circles of the church, the Philomathic club, the PEO Sisterhood, the Waterville Grange, and a business sorority, Alpha Iota Delta Rho. She is survived by two sons, John and Richard, both of Wenatchee; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1992, and a brother. Arrangements are by the Waterville Funeral Home.
