She was born Oct. 22, 1895, in Braidwood, Ill, to William and Mary Garrity Young. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ottumwa. She married Frank M. Kalec. He preceded her in death. She is survived by a daughter, Mary E. "Betty" Way of Lincoln, Neb.; two grandsons; and two great-granddaughters. A graveside service will be 10 a.m. Saturday...
