She was born July 5, 1920 in Yadkin County to the late Nelson and Amanda Money Groce. Mrs. Winfrey was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker for her family and friends. She was a faithful member of Mt. Nebo Church of Christ as long as her health permitted.
