Description	:	Mary Eileen Tokarski, nee Leonard, was born on Feb. 14, 1917, in Plymouth, Wis., daughter of George and Mary. She was the oldest of seven daughters. After their home was destroyed by fire in the late 1920s, the family moved to Eastern Montana and farmed near Baker. She met her husband, Steve Tokarski, in Billings, and they were married on May 18, 1940. Steve passed away in 2006. Read More	Mary Eileen Tokarski, nee Leonard, was born on Feb. 14, 1917, in Plymouth, Wis., daughter of George and Mary. She was the oldest of seven daughters. She met her husband, Steve Tokarski, in Billings, and they were married on May 18, 1940. Steve passed away in 2006. Eileen is survived by her son Mark (Hassie) of Morrison, Colo.; and five grandchildren, Michelle (Eric) DuBarry of Portland, Linda (Patty) Glantz, of Livingston, Mont., Katie (Barry) Bixby of Portland, Annie Tokarski of Yellowstone National Park, Wyo., and Stephen Tokarski of Portland. She has one surviving sister, Dorothy Bishop of Bellingham, Wash., and three great-grandchildren. Eileen lived in Billings for her entire life after marriage, and was a member of St. Pius Church where son "Fr. Steve" was pastor. During her younger years, she was active in the Legion of Mary and the Altar Society of Little Flower Church. She was a devoted wife, caring mother and loyal friend. The family extends its sincere appreciation to the wonderful staff of Billings Health and Rehab for their kind and caring service. The people of RiverStone Health comforted her in her final months, and regularly visited and prayed with her. In her personal papers was a slip of paper on which she had written the words of Dwight Eisenhower, "Freedom is nothing but opportunity for self-discipline." She lived those words. Throughout her life she was a strong, courageous and self-disciplined woman of deep faith. The regular morning mass at St. Pius X Church, 717 18th St. W., on Friday at 8:30 a.m., will be celebrated in Eileen's memory. Memorials may be made to St. Pius X Church or RiverStone Health Foundation.
