Description	:	Mary E. Brown was born August 10, 1849, in Green County, Tennessee, and died at her home near Pleasanton, Nebr., Oct. 11, 1946 at the age of 97 years and two months. In infancy, she moved with her parents to Albany, Mo., and was married at that place September 8, 1866 to William F. McCurry, also a native of Tennessee. They resided in Missouri until 1884, when they came to Buffalo County and acquired a government homestead. Brown was born August 10, 1849, in Green County, Tennessee, and died at her home near Pleasanton, Nebr., Oct. 11, 1946 at the age of 97 years and two months. In infancy, she moved with her parents to Albany, Mo., and was married at that place September 8, 1866 to William F. McCurry, also a native of Tennessee. They resided in Missouri until 1884, when they came to Buffalo County and acquired a government homestead. Following the death of her husband in 1921, Mrs. McCurry moved to Pleasanton, but returned to her former home several years later, making her home with her son, Oliver, until her death. She was preceded in death by three of her four children: William who died in 1913, Mrs. Jennie Jones in 1921 and Oscar in 1939. Survivors are the son, Oliver; eight-grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren, a brother Thomas S. Brown of Price, Utah, and a sister, Mrs. Sarah Wilson of New Hampton, Mo. Funeral and burial services conducted by the Rev. Kauffroth, were at Pleasant Valley church and cemetery Sunday, October 13, with Howard Fread, George Cherry, Guerney Hays, Cyril Ewer, Harry O'Nele and Paul Franke serving as pall bearers.
