Mary Hames Gallman died Thursday, Nov. 8, 1956 in Wallace Thomson Hospital in Union, SC, following an illness of eight months. She was a resident of Pacolet, SC for 20 years and a native of Jonesville, SC. She was the daughter of William Hames and Minnie Hames and the widow of Thomas A Gallman. Mary Hames Gallman died Thursday, Nov. 8, 1956 in Wallace Thomson Hospital in Union, SC, following an illness of eight months. She was a resident of Pacolet, SC for 20 years and a native of Jonesville, SC. She was the daughter of William Hames and Minnie Hames and the widow of Thomas A Gallman. She was a member of Pacolet Methodist Church where she had been president of the Women's Society for Christian Service for 20 years. She was a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy. Survivors included: her mother, Mrs. Minnie Hames, of Greenville, SC, two daughters, Mrs. W. R. Eison and Mrs. J. C. Lee, two sisters, Willie Gallman and Mrs. J. M. Petty (or Pettit) and four grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Pacolet Methodist Church with interment in the Church Cemetery. She was 62 years of age at her demise.
