Mary had been in ill health for several years. Four weeks ago the disease malady and she grew rapidly worse. All that kind and loving hands and hearts could do was done for her comfort and relief. Read More	The Marion Register Monday August 6, 1906 Mary Estelle Dawson was born at Marion, March 6, 1885 and fell asleep Saturday morning July 29, 1906. Mary had been in ill health for several years. Four weeks ago the disease malady and she grew rapidly worse. All that kind and loving hands and hearts could do was done for her comfort and relief. But it was of no avail. The angel of death had fastened upon her and his message came at last and was answered and was answered by the soaring of the spirit of the dear and loving child to the Savior who had claimed her for his own. The funeral was held from the Catholic church at 10 o'clock Monday morning. The service was conducted by Father Loughnane of Marion. The funeral sermon was preached by Father Toomey, of Cedar Rapids, who drew comforting thoughts for the sorrowing family from the 9th Chapt. of Mathew. The deceased leaves a father, mother, and three brother, Ned, Forrest and Fred. There was a large attendance of friends and members of the W.R.C. and Mystic Workers attended in a body.
