Description	:	Mary Etta Livingston Huggins Hardee died at the age of 89 in a Georgetown Nursing facility. Mrs. Hardee was born in Sumter, a daughter of George Smith and Gulie Chewning Livingston. She was the widow of Klugh Nedo Huggins and Luther W. Hardee. She graduated from Central High School of Lee County and Winthrop College. She was a retired teacher, having taught in Aiken County from 1927 to 1928, in Salley from 1927 to 1928 in Richland County from 1928 to 1930 and in Florence County at Old... Read More	Mary Etta Livingston Huggins Hardee died at the age of 89 in a Georgetown Nursing facility. Mrs. Hardee was born in Sumter, a daughter of George Smith and Gulie Chewning Livingston. She was the widow of Klugh Nedo Huggins and Luther W. Hardee. She graduated from Central High School of Lee County and Winthrop College. She was a retired teacher, having taught in Aiken County from 1927 to 1928, in Salley from 1927 to 1928 in Richland County from 1928 to 1930 and in Florence County at Old Johnsonville. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hemingway where she taught the Ladies Adult Bible Class and Women's Missionary Union. Mrs. Hardee was a member of United Daughters of Confederacy chapter 687 in Greenwood, and also organized the Old Johnsonville Home Demonstration Club in 1931 where she served as president for several years. She is survived by four sons: Ned Livingston Huggins (Mary Dean), William Elmer Huggins (Tommie), Hugh L. Huggins and Kay Norris Huggins (Rose).
