MARY DUNTLEY Mary Etta Marker, youngest and second daughter of David and Lucinda Marker, was born March 10, 1865, on a farm near Norwood in Ottercreek township and departed this life on May 25, 1950, at the age of 85 years, two months and 15 days. She had spent her entire life in this community. She was the last member of her immediate family, having been preceded in death by her parents and her one and only sister, Mrs. Ida M. Myers. On March 4, 1888, she was united in marriage to Charles Duntley. They were the parents of five daughters, Ida Eubank, Minnie Chandler and Willa Snider, all of Norwood, Valeria, who died at the age of 3 and Edna, who passed away in infancy. Her husband, Charles, passed away October 19, 1917. Mrs. Duntley was converted and joined the United Brethren church early in life and remained true to her faith throughout the years. She was deeply devoted to her family and home and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was always interested and greatly pleased in her close association with her grandchildren. Besides the daughters, she leaves to cherish her memory the three sons-in-law, nine grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. The grandchildren are: Mrs. Loren Wilkinson, of Grundy Center; Mrs. Lloyd Roberts, of Woodburn; Raymond and Max Eubank, Mrs. Velda Schilling, Harry Chandler and Wayne Snider, all of Norwood; Harold Snider of Chariton; and Mrs. Hollis Henry, of Des Moines. She also leaves three nieces, Mrs. Roy Cochran, of Lucas; Mrs. Marion Spears, of Louisiana; and Edith Duntley, of Prairie City. Also many other relatives and friends. Obituary courtesy of Charles M.
