She was the daughter of David and Rachel Ross and was born August 19, 1874 near Kirkville. She was married to Wiley Brown in 1890. She is survived by six sons, Robert, John and James of Kirkville, Joseph of San Francisco, Leonard of Ottumwa and Harry of Des Moines; four daughters, Mrs. Myrtle West and Mrs. Irene Carnes of Ottumwa, Mrs. Mabel McBurney of Cedar and Mrs. Ethel Dannells of Des Moines; 28 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; two great great grandchildren, and... She was preceded in death by her husband, two sons, Samuel and Albert, three brothers and a sister. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at a Community funeral home. The Rev. Harold Henry, pastor of the first Church of the Nazarene will be in charge.
