Kyle Nelson will officiate with burial at a later date in the Schuyler Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Brockhaus-Howser-Fillmer Funeral Home in Norfolk. She graduated from Columbus High School in May 1952. Mary married Albert Kruse on July 14, 1954, and the union produced five children. She worked as a legal secretary for years, a majority for Jeff Hrouda, until retiring in 2005. After retirement, Mary enjoyed spending time at Norfolk Senior Center and volunteered with many local organizations, including Meals on Wheels and Orphan Grain Train. She was an active member of United Methodist Church. Mary was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, Willard Foust. She is survived by four sons, Ron Kruse of Bellevue, Steve (Rosalind) Kruse of Omaha, Tom (Tracy) Kruse of Minnetonka, Minn., and Brian (Christine) Kruse of Keene, N.H.; a daughter, Carole (Jim) Kleine of Elwood; two sisters, Eleanor Foust of Stanton, formerly of West Point, and Roberta (Nick) McDermott of Omaha; a brother, Jim (Ann) Finley of Fremont; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
