She was born Jan. 30, 1890 and died at her home east of Springdale at 12:30 p.m., Feb. 17, 1920. She had been ill only a few days and death resulted from complications following influenza and pneumonia. In childhood her parents moved to War Eagle and in 1905 they moved to Springdale, where she grew to womanhood. She was converted at the age of fifteen and united with the Baptist church and was a faithful member until our Father called her home. She was a useful member of the Womans Missionary Society, also of the Fidelis Sunday School class and the anxiety of the members of these organizations and the community as well during her illness proved the high esteem in which she was held. She did her Christian duty cheerfully and willingly and always had a smile and an encouraging word for all with whom she came in contact. Those who knew her best loved her most. In 1909 she graduated from the Springdale High School and afterward taught two terms in the Springdale grammar school and was a faithful and conscientious teacher, loved and respected by pupils and patrons as well. On Dec. 25, 1910, she was united in marriage to Harry Brogdon and was a loving and faithful companion. No shadow came into their married life to mar the harmony and happiness of their home. A sweet disposition and beautiful character, the two crowing virtues of an ideal woman were her predominating characteristics. She was a devoted wife and loving daughter, congenial sister and helpful friend. Nothing that loving hands or medical skill could do was left undone, yet she went peacefully to sleep to awake with Jesus, who knows the loved ones left will have a greater longing for heaven. She is survived by a husband, mother, Mrs. A. M. Sanders, a sister, Miss Lora, who for several months has held a position in Washington, D. C., two brothers, Claude of Billings, Montana and Arthur of Springdale. The bereaved husband, mother, sister, brothers, and all other relatives have the ultra modern and were perfect to sympathy of the entire community. The funeral services will be held at the First Baptist church of Springdale, Friday 2:30 p.m.; February 20 1920. Interment in Bluff Cemetery.
