Shelbyville, Mo., Dec. 16.—Funeral services for Mrs. Robert Stewart were held at the Christian church in Shelbyville this morning at 10 o'clock, conducted by the pastor, Rev. F. M. Branic. Mrs. Stewart dropped dead at her home in Shelbyville Tuesday afternoon from heart disease. She had returned a few days previous from California, where she had been visiting relatives for the last two months, and since her return had been in her usual good health. She ate a hearty meal Tuesday at noon and when her husband left the house she was sitting at the window reading. About 3 o'clock she called a neighbor on the phone and talked for several minutes. Shortly afterward, when her husband returned, he found her lying on the floor where she had fallen after leaving the telephone. Mrs Stewart was born in Shelby county, April 7, 1856, and was 64 years old. Her entire life was spent in the vicinity of Shelbyville where she was well and favorably known She was a member of the Christian church of Shelbyville and a prominent member of the Rebekah lodge of this city. Her husband and one son, J. W. Stewart, of Sisson, Cal., survive. She is also survived by one brother, W. C. Chick, of this city.
